A Vinyl-born, Tour-stained, Silk-wrapped Publication

Everything in my life is tied to some note, in some song, somewhere. Music hums through my writing, my photos, my styling choices: the whole mood of my ether. just.cheexie started as a way to share what I love. You know.. vinyl, fragrance, concert lights, and soft rituals.. and turned into something beyond the IG reels and TikTok trends. A love letter. A legacy..

Raised in the heart of Southern Appalachia, I come from a place where stories are stitched into quilts and passed down like family secrets. I spent decades pouring myself into a region that didn’t always know what to do with someone like me. But music? Music always did. The first cassette. The first festival. The artists who somehow sang the exact thing, I couldn’t find the words for. They raised me! From that first Waylon Jennings concert to The Eras Tour... Hell, they’re still raising me. (Also, who takes a bebe to a Country Music Festival in 1991 and expects that child to NOT stew into a melting pot of lyrical gumbo? Be so for real.)

This publication exists because I believe in archiving and curating.. Honestly, emotionally, and on my own terms. I want to document the albums that hold us, the fashion that armors our favorite artist, and the nights that heal us under strobe lights and stardust. You won’t find hot takes here. This is about uplifting, sharing, and safeguarding our arts. There is no room for hate.

Here’s what you’ll find:

My Sleeve Notes hold long-form reflections and album breakdowns. Deep dives into lyrics, themes, and the emotional texture of sound. General Music Culture.

My Stage Worn closet explores fashion, fragrance, and beauty rituals. Styled by song, inspired by the stage, and worn with intention.

And for the grand finale.. My Off Stage chapters hold personal stories, motherhood, healing, and quiet revelations. I’ll also include a scope of what it’s like moving to the Eastern Shore. Written in softness, lived in full volume, and never needing the spotlight.

If you’re looking for somewhere to land; where art is honored, life is romanticized, and  your favorite record is always spinning.. Welcome Home.
